Announcing Professional Development Workshop on Collections Care by Midwest Art Conservation Center to be held at Ironworld on Saturday, April 25, 2009 (9-1). There is a registration fee of $30 ($25 for Ironworld members) and deadline of April 18, 2009 for anyone that is interested in participating.

I'd like to contribute to this educational effort by introducing a book written for the general public. A free download of preservation tips and a chapter on books is available at www.preservationhelp.com. This information focuses on family history items, collectibles, memorabilia. Much of the information is geared towards preparing for an emergency and after a disaster hits.
